Your Home on Miller Lake
Loon Lodge is a spacious, two-level waterfront cottage sitting directly on the shores of Miller Lake. At 2,000 sq ft with four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, it comfortably sleeps up to eight guests — plenty of room for the whole family or a group of friends. Both levels have their own living area, so everyone can spread out, and big windows on every side frame unobstructed views of the lake from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re here for one perfect week or planning to come back every summer, this is the cottage you’ll be talking about for years.
Two Living Areas
Loon Lodge has a full living area on each level, which makes a real difference when you’re here with a group. The upper-level main living area is bright and open, with large windows looking straight out to the lake — the kind of room you drift into in the morning with your coffee and don’t want to leave. The lower-level living area gives families with kids a dedicated hangout space, with a TV and easy walkout access to the yard and waterfront.
Kitchen & Dining
The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need for a proper cottage week — fridge, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, and all the cookware, dishes, and utensils to feed a group. The dining area seats the whole party, and with the lake right outside the windows, even breakfast feels like an occasion. Grocery runs to Lion’s Head or Tobermory are easy, or pick up essentials at the convenience store down the road at Summer House Park.
4 Bedrooms
Four comfortable bedrooms sleep up to eight guests across the two levels, giving everyone their own space to wind down after a full day. Whether you’re bringing the whole family, booking with another couple, or planning a group getaway, the sleeping arrangements work. Bedroom 1, queen bed; Bedroom 2, full bed; Bedroom 3, queen bed, Bedroom 4, two twin beds.
2 Bathrooms
With a full bathroom on each level, morning routines stay stress-free even when the cottage is at full capacity. No lineups, no waiting — a small but important detail that makes a week with eight people run smoothly. Each bathroom has a walk-in shower.
Wrap-Around Deck
The wrap-around deck with glass railings might be where you spend most of your time. Nothing blocks the view — just open sky, trees, and Miller Lake stretching out in front of you. It’s the right place for morning coffee, afternoon drinks, watching the sunset, or just sitting and listening to the loons. Deck furniture is included.
Waterfront & Dock
The waterfront is private, with direct access from the cottage down to a classic rocky shore — and a sandy bottom once you get in. The water stays shallow for the first one to three feet, making it genuinely great for young kids. The private dock gives you a place to swim, fish, or just sit with your feet in the water. The canoe is yours for the week — paddle out early before anyone else is awake and you’ll see why the cottage is called Loon Lodge.
Fire Pit at the Lake
The fire pit sits right at the water’s edge — not tucked in the back of the yard, but front and centre on the shoreline. That’s where cottage nights happen: marshmallows, stories, stars. The Bruce Peninsula has some of the darkest skies in Ontario, so once the fire dies down, look up — the Milky Way is visible on clear nights, and Northern Lights sightings can happen.
