Loon Lodge comes well equipped — but a few things you will need to bring yourself. Here is everything you need to know so you arrive prepared and ready to enjoy your week on Miller Lake.
You Need to Bring
Not provided — pack these yourselfPillows with protective covers and mattress pads are provided. A few wool blankets are available — great for cool evenings at the fire pit.
Bed sheets & pillowcases for all beds
Blankets (wool blankets available at the cottage for cooler nights)
Bath towels and washcloths
Beach towels
Toiletries — soap, shampoo, etc.
Napkins
Laundry detergent for the washing machine
Coffee & tea — coffee filters are provided, drip coffee maker and electric kettle available
Bottled water & ice — the cottage has drinkable well water, though some guests prefer bottled. Ice trays are provided.
Bug spray
Matches or lighter for the fire pit
Outdoor games — volleyball, croquet, bocce, etc.
Water toys — rafts, noodles, etc.
Firewood — buy it on the Peninsula. Do not bring wood from outside the Bruce Peninsula, as foreign species travelling in wood can invade the birch trees. Miller’s Family Camp down the street sells firewood May–September.
